Rosebud Cannabis Farms Ltd. Announces the Health Canada Approval of Regional District of Central Kootenay Standard Outdoor Cultivation License

SALMO, BC, May 29, 2020 – Rosebud Cannabis Farms Ltd. (the “Company”), a privately-held BC company, together with its’ wholly owned subsidiary, Rosebud Cannabis Nursery Ltd. (“Rosebud”), is proud to announce the approval of its new standard outdoor cultivation license for its cannabis farm situated in the renowned Kootenay region of British Columbia, the heart of Canadian cannabis culture.

Rosebud’s unique location on a mountain lake and south facing slope takes advantage of the Kootenays’ prime growing conditions and terroir with a secure, fully operational 63,000 ft2 of outdoor grow area capable of producing up to 1,000 kgs of craft cannabis by fall 2020.

Under the leadership of industry veteran, Che’ LeBlanc, a second-generation, expert grower with nearly three decades of cannabis growing experience, the Company will provide high quality, sun grown cannabis flower, free from synthetic chemicals and pesticides, to the environmentally and conscious consumer and connoisseur. Rosebud will meet the market demand for “craft” cannabis with many unique strains developed by the founder and Rosebud for indoor and outdoor production in a Canadian climate as well as over 500 cultivars gathered internationally. The company will be operating at a lower capital and operational cost and far reduced environmental footprint than conventional indoor and greenhouse production.

Cannabis flower will be offered fresh-frozen or freeze -dried to licensed producers and processors for dried flower, pre-rolls and extracts. The Company is also working closely with Community Futures Central Kootenay to develop a local cannabis cooperative to produce and market products from the region.

CEO Leblanc commented: “It has been a combination of vision and determination to get to this point; we’ve climbed the mountain and now we get to grow on it. Rosebud is excited to demonstrate what premium outdoor cannabis can be, by utilizing regenerative agriculture methods and at the same time putting people and earth ethics at the cornerstone of the business. The company is the culmination of a vision to move back to the land and produce this amazing plant the way it has been grown for millennia – in the sun, in the soil, with no synthetics – naturally. We want to bring the cannabis flower that made the Kootenays famous into the legal market.”
